The Bolza family

The baron Bolza family played an important part in the history of Szarvas. They had their castle built on the bank of the River Körös. The Pepi Garden was founded by Pál Bolza. During the revolution two members of the family were militiamen. The mausoleum is the grave of the family members. The memory of the Bolzas is kept in a marble tablet placed on the wall of the mausoleum.
