Dr. Hanzó Lajos 1915 - 1964

He graduated from University of Szeged as a teacher of History and Geography. He was the trainee of the university for two years, and then he received his certification of training-collage institution specialized in pedagogy-philosophy. He taught in the lower primary teacher training-collage, in the secondary school and in the nursery training institute in Szarvas. His educational, scientific and local history work was granted with the brass grade of the People’s republic Merit by the government in 1952. He got the Kossuth award in 1955. He was the only inhabitant of Szarvas who got this award.
