Tessedik Sámuel 1742 - 1820

Sámuel Tessedik was a traditionalist, he became a priest. He arrived in Szarvas in 1767 and was the priest of the congregation here for 52 years. In addition to his church duties he was interested in the relations and the social problems of the town. His significant achievement was the building of the Old Church. He established the Practical agricultural School. He had big heart and brain.
